Centre for Higher Learning and Research

The long term goal of Government Science College is to facilitate interdisciplinary research that will conserve the tribal knowledge and provide innovative solutions to challenges of tribal area. Therefore, college has invested more than 3 crore rupees in infrastructure development of research facilities. The college has also set up an instrumentation facility in each department with instruments like Scanning electron microscope, FTIR, plant and animal tissue culture facility, 2D IEF gel electrophoresis, fluorescence microscopes, Thermal cyclers, deep freezers, impedance analyser, PE hysteresis loop tracer, UV-visible spectroscopy, etc.

The institute has highly qualified, distinguished and academically active faculty members, most of them are recognized Ph.D. supervisors and advanced researchers in their own capacities. Under their able guidance 08 students have been awarded Ph.D. degree during last five years and 10 students are pursuing it at present.
