Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The main of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Science College Gadchiroli is established to develop a system for consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institution. IQAC works to enhance and integrate the various activities of the college and to ensure the adoption and dissemination of good practices of teaching-learning process. An Online feedback system has been developed in order to monitor the quality and efficacy of the policies and processes implemented in the College.

The Primary aim of IQAC is:

  1. To develop a continuous monitoring system for consistent improvement in the academic, research and administrative performance of the college.
  2. To promote scientific temperament in students through internalization of quality academic and research culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Strategies:

  1. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of tribal communities.
  2. The fair and transparent evaluation procedures.
  3. Integration of modern techniques of teaching and learning.
  4. Research sharing and networking with other institutions.
  5. Ensuring timely, transparent, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  6. The relevance and quality of academic, research programmes and support structure.

Functions:

  1. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education.
  2. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
  3. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  4. Arrangement for feedback response from students and other stakeholders on quality improvement processes.
  5. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars.
  6. Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
  7. Development of Quality academic and research culture in the institution.
  8. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
